Transformation

On
waking,
feeling
fractious,
fickle
and
fraught,
the
day
doomed
to
failure,
when T brought breakfast of French Cachou, fresh from the tree.
Food, inspiration and love, on a plate. xxx

...and with some blue and some green I DO love the reds ;-)

  2. Yes, it was Minerva, I like the colours too, Leon, I'm sure you must have these in Jamaica, I only know them as French Cachou. Our trees are about 30' high and easy to climb and are full of little boys when the trees are bearing. T says some people call it something else but can't remember what it is. They are delicious, the flesh inside the fruit is white and crisp and juicy and has a slight perfumed taste to it. They don't keep well though and are best eaten straight from the tree when you are in the hot sun and feeling thirsty.
